Scottsdale has the food and fun. North of the valley there arre outlet stores on I-17. South of town there are more on the I-10. Macayo’s is great.
Snottsdale (Scottsdale) does have alot of fun and shopping but its more pricey if you ask me. Chandler for the most part is really nice, has a nice mall and several shopping centers and isnt pricey like other areas. A real good Mexican food place is Si Senors in Chandler. It is in the Waterfront Shopping center (little shopping center) on the corner of Alma School Road and Galveston. Another good place is also on Alma School Road called Garcias. Its address is 2394 N. Alma School Road..
Desert Ridge is nice and has a variety of stores and restaurants. It is like an outside mall. I also like Arizona Mills in Tempe it is an outlet mall.
If you want good food go to a Filibertos. They are little mexican food chains. The one I like the best is on 91st Avenue and Thomas Rd. If not try Ranch Market. They are a grocery store, but they sell all kinds of mexican food that is already made. There is one on 59th Ave. and Thomas Rd.
Desert Ridge Marketplace is quite nice, as is the downtown Scottsdale area around Camelback and Scottsdale. There are tons and tons of great Mexican restuarants in Phoenix – my personal favorite is Abuelo’s, though a lot of people prefer Macayo.
For uncomplicated shopping check out Arizona Mills in Tempe. Go to Barrio Cafe for eclectic and memorable Mexican food.
I know there are a couple of Nordstrom’s in the north east part of the community.(in or near Scottsdale)
the arizona mills in tempe has all outlet shops and a great restaurant the rain forest cafe.
Scottsdale or Gilbert is full or great (and high end) shopping and dining. Try Catino Laredo for good Mexican food. There is one at San Tan Village & 202 in Gilbert and on FLW & Scottsdale. Also try Gardunos at Chandler & 101 or Scottsdale & Via de Ventura/Doubletree Ranch.
